99.5 WYCD's Rachel Hunter & Steve Grunwald at 2008 Relay For Life
Saturday, May 17th, join 99.5 WYCD's Rachel Hunter & Steve Grunwald and Community Financial from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. at the Heritage Park in Canton for the Relay For Life, a 24-hour walk-a-thon event which raises money forcancer research. Each year, across the nation, this one event brings together entire communities to take part in the fight against cancer. It’s a time and place where people come to celebrate those who have survived cancer, remember those we’ve lost, and fight back against a disease that touches too many lives, to participate click here.
In 2007 alone, more than 1.4 million people in the United States were diagnosed with cancer, more than 559,000 people will die of the disease. To better understand ways to prevent cancer, the American Cancer Society's Department of Epidemiology and Surveillance Research is recruiting 500,000 adults across the United States and Puerto Rico for a new research study called the Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3).
