The Blackberry Creek Dancers are a group of approximately one dozen ladies from throughout the Metropolitan Detroit area whose common love of dance and country music have brought them together as a performance and demonstration team. Althought these ladies are not professional dancers, they're committed to professional performance and demonstrations wherever they are asked to dance. Their mission is to spead the phenonenon and fun of country line dancing throughout southeast Michigan (and beyond).
Their performances are unique routines choreographed by founder, Helen Azelio, which usually encompass two or more of the current line dances into an eye catching, foot stomping performance. Likewise the team is also available to teach beginners or easy intermediate line dances at various functions throughout the year. They have addded a little lively fun to more than one party or two around the Detroit area over the past 15 years. They have performed annually at the WYCD Hoedown in Hart Plaza, Michigan State Fair and the Festival of Trees in addition to numerous local celebrations.
