The band's base is Tommy Buck. Tommy is and has been one of country music’s top lead guitar players for years. His knowledge, rock solid playing style, and vast experience make for a great beginning.
Now add the beat provided by Lyle Cantley. With all Lyle’s years of experience, he brings to the table amazing lead vocals, synchronized harmonies and precise drumming capabilities. Lyle hails from Toledo, Ohio where he has spent most of his adult life with bands like HoozierDaddy, The Jim Seibers Show, Rodney Parker, and Turnbuckle. He is an all-around seasoned musician.
Next up is Lyle’s sidekick and friend on bass, Danny Whitehead. Danny has been playing music since the age of 14. He found his way into the Toledo country music scene in 1988 playing drums and singing with bands such as Dusty Rhoades, Brushfire, and Whitehawk. In 1994 he set down his drumsticks and picked up the bass guitar and joined Lyle in the band Turnbuckle. Danny showed not only his drive for the love of music but also his incredible musical talent by learning the bass and all the music necessary in just 30 days.
That’s the experience that makes up much of the rock solid sound of Derringer. Now add a fiery hot young lead vocalist named Cole Merideth to complete the package. Cole brings awesome lead vocals, smooth harmonies, and even some acoustic guitar to the band. Cole’s stage presence, powerful vocals, hot looks, and her uncanny ability to woo a crowd make Derringer a force to be reckoned with.
