Hip Hop Country Rock, Blue-eyed Soul and Rock-n-Roll, mix it with the Blues and Ladies and Gentlemen, The Forbes Brothers. Fueled by the songwriting of Scott and Dennis Forbes, the band has forged a unique sound and style all its own. Drawing from a palette that includes country, blues, rock and Motown, the band creates music that transcends traditional categories.
They’ve shared the stage with such top national acts as Diamond Rio, George Jones, Tanya Tucker, Lee Ann Womack, Lonestar, The Kentucky Headhunters, Trace Adkins, and many others. They have recorded with Earl Klugh, Mitch Ryder, longtime Motown guitarist Dennis Coffey, and Kid Rock protégés, The Howlin’ Diablos.
In addition to the brothers on guitar and vocals, the Forbes Brothers are George Canterbury on keyboards, Tom Hollyer on guitar, banjo, mandolin and dobro, Dave Jack on drums, Ron Jacobs on vocals and harmonica, and Jon Ross on bass and vocals. Give a listen to Forbes Brothers' "Tell Me!"

"Detroit hardly enjoys a reputation as a country music bastion, but for more than a decade the Forbes Brothers have bucked that situation to produce vital music that has plenty of twang but never loses the flavor of where it comes from. So while the Forbes crew is down-home enough to more than hold its own in venues such as the annual Downtown Hoedown, the group brings with it a sound that also sports the tight harmonies and easy grooves associated with Motown and even a bit of hip-hop sensibility that’s part of the air in a metro area that’s produced the likes of Eminem and Kid Rock. Moreover, the music moves like the fine-tuned autos that are produced throughout the Forbes’ domain, cruising steadily and easily with plenty of horsepower to accelerate when the band deems it appropriate." ~ Gary Graff (UPI, New York Times Syndicate, Launch Radio Networks, CDNow, Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Oakland Press, Guitar World, Revolver, Red Flag Media, among others)
"It is common belief that The Forbes Brothers ARE Detroit Country. One of the areas most popular bands, with nearly all original songs, you just can't miss seeing the boys." ~DetroitCountryMusic.com
"The Forbes Brothers mix the sincerity and simplicity of country music with a hard rockin' Motor City sensibility."~ Stewart Francke, MetroTimes
