Love to hear your "good" neighbor stories! (Or not so good - as the case was here!)

squirells and birds with their dinner leftovers everynight. I mean spagetti, mashed potatoes, you name it, the food pile is there. Well, my dog is getting fatter and fatter because he eats her pile of leftovers. I have asked her to Stop or move the pile somewhere else but she refuses. Talk about a mess. She even puts strawberry shortcake out there!! kooky neighbor stories...I'm sure we will get some great ones!!

I can't get over that! My neighbors aren't that meticulous thankfully, but we have an old man who always comes over for coffee. he is lonely, and no matter what time of day, there he is with his mug knocking on my door. At least he's nice though. Mud in the yard is so out there!! keep up smiling always. Love to you all at wycd!

on our street. One of our neighbors is a slob and a half! he has 3 doors on his front porch. Just a mess of a yard. I feel like I'm watching Sanford and Son only it's my life. Can't wait for summer...and bring on the mud! tee hee

into my garbage can and broke off a piece of a car. The garbage flew all over the yard and I can't fit a new can in my teeny car. My neighbors gray car is smashed and he won't admit he did it. He's a real creep! Aren't we all so lucky? I'm gladwe have each other to vent too! Love the Wingers

My neighbors, all of them, are so cool. In fact, they want to come to Birmingham and kick that guys butt for yelling at you and your friend. How could anybody yell at our jylly? I have a nightmare for a neighbour that I have even considered moving and taking a loss on my house just to get away from her profanity and crazy antics. She yes she went out at 10:00pm at night to shovel the snow back on my driveway and behind my car that I just had my son remove because it was on her snow pile "her property" along the side of my driveway! She even wrote profanity in the snow! for real I took a picture "I couldn't believe it. I have ignored her strange behaviour for more than a year, tried to be extremely polite and wish her a great day. I am at a loss how to handle her nothing works and she still continues. Help!

who wrote before me about the crazy antics neighbor. That is truly sad that you have to live close to such a pathetic person. My heart feels for you. I am a long long time listener of Jyls and am back in the US from London. I got married and came home for a visit, all excited to hear Jyl on the radio and YOU are on vacation. What a bummer. I'm going to email you Jyl, this is Teri. I know you remember me. We used to write letters and I came to see you at alot of your events. I am married now and see the Queens castle out of my window. I feel so fortunate to have met such a wonderful man (yeah Jyl, we both finally did!!). next time I'm home I hope to hear you and maybe we can get a cup of tea. Your blogs are always hysterical! Hey, are you doing the special olympics charity event this month? You usually do and we are hoping to see you there and play the games with the children and have fun raising money too! I hope you are coming. I'll email you at the station so you can email us back. Your neighbor story is bizarre...mud on his lawn. That is way out there. We still have too many neighbors with Christmas tree lights up and stuff but that at least is not rude...just lazy. Hopefully, now that some nice days are here, they can come down. The folks next door have up lights from Christmas, a Mr and Mrs Peter Cottontail and Easter wreathe, a manger still in the front yard....and yes, pumpkin lights in 2 trees. They are nice folks....but I'd sure like them better if they'd take down the flag that has a big birthday cake on it! hahaha. I should send a picture. People really are comical "aren't we?".....You laugh at yourself Jyl, and I try to do the same! It's good to find the humor in situations. our pretty neighbor lady gardens in bright red lipstick, hip huggers with full view of the bright colored thongs, her money maker er shaker!! blonde dyed curly hair with tons of makeup on. Totally doing a show for the old man who lives next door. In fact his wife encourages her to even garden in her "bikini" because it turns her husband on so much and she loves to see him so happpy!! So she obliges the lady neighbor and bends over and really does a show for him! It's harmless I guess....after reading this blog on neighbors, mine is just cracking me up. How funny all of our little neighborhoods are. We must be the only sane ones! har har yeah right! thanks for the great music, we love WYCD like family!

my neighbor puts all of his in our mailbox everyday! My wife and I have left him kind notes asking him please NOT to do that because we get a whole bunch of it as it is. He simply ignores our requests. There are a string of 5 mailboxes in a row, and he doesn't even spread it out with the others. Just us! any suggestions? Thanks. Phil and Andi in Farmington

even though my neighbors have bells on their cats collars they are still killing my birds. My kids love feeding the birds and naming them. we bought binoculars and have loved being birders. But now the cats stalk our birds who are just easy prey to get killed. I have nothing against cats, but something has to be done about the killing of birds. Is it safe to declaw cats? We are not cat people so don't have the answers. If you WYCD bloggers could help with this horrible problem, I'm sure many people like us who love feeding birds and watching them, would be so greatful. It's not fair for so many birds to be killed for no reason. The cats kill just to kill. My 4 year old is truly traumatized. Even my tough little 6 year old boy has fought back the tears one time too many. Please help keep the birds alive.

after 49 hours on the road non stop. shhh! not supposed to do that but I miss my little baby boy. anyway this heres one tired daddy who has a wicked neighbor story for ya'll tomorrow when I'm drinking my Sunday Morning coffee. A sunny 62 degree day in store.. I have to write Lindas commonlaw husband too about his new truck driving career. Linda seems so happy and so does he, I sure hope it works out for him and her. they are good people. you all seem to be. their 3 kids today on leashes in my neighborhood. That struck a wrong cord in me. Does anyone else think leashes are for your dogs, not your children? I am still shaking my headd on this sight today.

with their pants down is what my family and I witnessed this afternoon. Jyl, I instantly thought of your blog. This little boy was screaming....have no clue what he did, but my little girls were crying watching his dad pull down his pants and spank him in the front yard. I'll talk the "Mud looney tune" over this violent creep any day of the week. I know how you feel about violence Jyl and I'm sure you would too. Isn't this so unbelieveable in this day and age someone would do that to their precious child? We are just flabergasthed! Group hug anyone?

neighbor stories. I'm pretty amazed at some of these. I swear, I'd love to get a big farm of like minded people and have our own great subdivision of kind, fun, willing to pull their weight and treat each others children with the love and respect they deserve. Animals too. A community of friendship and people looking out for each other would be so ideal. I know someday we will find it. At least I have so much gratitude for the nice people I meet daily and talk to with you that call in share yourselves with us. Even on casino nights, Monday at Motor City, the sweetest people stop by to visit. Mostly, I belive people are good, but boy the mean ones sure are hard to shrug off. I'm still tring to learn how to do that instead of taking what they say and do to heart. My next blog is about my 5 dogs and their new summer hair cuts. Yes, I do my own grooming. Yes, I have the blisters to show for it, but at least they are with me and I know not being harmed in anyway. my neighbors leave stinky diapers in an open trash can all week until garbage day. In the cold it's OK..but now that it's thawing outside. PU. I want to like that little guy but every sunny day when I smell him all day, it's getting kind of hard. Stinky in Novi
