Chris Cagle was found not guilty of domestic assault after a court hearing and trial yesterday in Davidson County, Tennessee. The charges stemmed from May 28th when Cagle and his girlfriend, Jennifer Tant, got into an altercation at their Nashville area home. According to police reports, both parties were "intoxicated" and suffered signs of physical abuse. After the trial, Cagle's attorney, Bill Ramsey, said, "It's a shame these charges were ever brought. PERIOD! Chris was not, and never was, guilty of domestic violence, abuse or assault and the Judge properly found him 'Not Guilty.' Chris is relieved the accuracy of the matter has been revealed and the ordeal is over." Cagle still faces an assault trial in Tucson, Arizona on September 23rd. This case stems from an incident there last year where the singer allegedly punched a belligerent fan in the face.
Kenny Chesney's upcoming new single, "Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven," has a calypso feel and will be his first new music in over a year. Kenny shares, "Everything in that song is everything we all think. I don't know anyone who doesn't want to go to heaven, but nobody wants to go today. If you could pick, you wouldn't pick right now… you'd want to live, to do more things, to have more fun... It's certainly the way me and the people around me try to live, to pack as much as we can into every day… and it's the way I think our fans are living. You can tell when you get out in the parking lot, these are people who have come to have fun, to make a few memories with their friends… and I think that's a great way to live."

"Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven" is a taste of what's to come. Chesney has been writing songs for his next album on the road, in the islands, and on the shores of Mexico. Having been in the recording studio with his usual session players, friends, band mates and special guests, Chesney is putting final touches on a CD he's calling "more personal than anything I've done yet." Kenny shares, "I have been lucky to write with some of the best songwriters in the world… to play with some of the best musicians there are… to share stages with legends and friends. Sometimes if you take a moment, just pause and consider where you are, you want to capture that moment, to bring people inside. We're figuring out the best way to do that, because this is some of the very best music I've ever made."
Toby Keith and the Dixie Chicks had agreed to put their differences aside and appear together in a new ad for the Alliance for Climate Protection about global warming, but five years after their feud began, it appears things are still quite chilly. According to reports, the two acts could not get on the same page as far as scheduling was concerned. The ad campaign specifically features people with differing political viewpoints, but who, in coming together for the ad, prove that they can agree on certain things. Keith puts the blame on the controversial trio. He told the San Jose Mercury News, "The two dates that I had available to go do it, they couldn't work out. Then we agreed to a third date, and they said the Chicks wasn't going to do it, so now it's gotten to where it's probably not going to happen. It's hard to get people that don't get along to agree when all those egos and stuff are involved."

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie reportedly used in vitro fertilization to conceive their newborn twins, Vivienne and Knox. Usmagazine reports that the fertility treatment allowed the couple to fulfill their desire of having a lot of children while they are still young. The magazine revealed that the chances of naturally having fraternal twins at Jolie's age is under one percent, while the odds rise to 25 percent with in vitro. A source revealed that Jolie, who is 33, chose the procedure so "she wouldn't have to deal with the stress of trying to get pregnant. She could just knock it out." The insider also said that the couple was "too impatient" to wait until they conceived naturally. The family of eight, which includes the twins, six-year-old Maddox, four-year-old Pax, three-year-old Zahara, and two-year-old Shiloh, currently resides in their French estate. Meanwhile, Pitt is threatening legal action against any media outlet that publishes unauthorized photos of his family taken "surreptitiously" on the grounds of their French estate. According to E! Online, Los Angeles-based law firm Lavely & Singer sent out a letter warning against the use of "highly powered telephoto lenses." The letter cites one unidentified photo agency that allegedly posted images of the celebs lounging on the grounds of their $60 million country manor in the South of France, which has since removed the photos from its website.

Anyone who's been to a recent Sugarland concert knows they open their performances by crawling over the audience inside 10-foot transparent bubbles. What you may not have known is that each of those cost four thousand dollars to make! That doesn't necessarily always mean it's going to be a smooth ride. According to the duo, it's been quite the learning experience for both of them and their fans. Jennifer Nettles tells USA Today, "If you don't hold your hands up, you're going to get squashed. So people will have their drink in one hand and their camera in the other, thinking they're going to get a picture, then all of a sudden — whomp!" Kristian Bush adds, "The ride back is much more like a roller coaster because they're like, 'Oh! Here we go!' You're going much faster."
Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley got over his fear of roller coasters in the latest installment of the group's Webisode Wednesday video blog on their website. Prior to playing a show at a Six Flags amusement park, Charles' band mates, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood, convinced him to go on the Batman roller coaster at the park. According to Charles, he hadn't been on such a ride since he was nine years old. So how did they talk him into it? Hillary admitted that she and Dave fibbed a little and told him it was an easy one, but knew it wasn't. Luckily, Charles survived. When the ride was over, he shared, "It was intense. I almost threw up when I got off of it. I was so dizzy. That was intense man." To see all of the fun for yourself, visit ladyantebellum.com.
