My guy is in Iraq. As of today, it's been officially 14 very long days since he left and with no end in sight. I am sending him a care package for Valentines Day. (2 Frisbees, a door-hanger baseketball hoop and a kite to help him and the other soldiers pass time when they get a few hours of down-time. (Does the song "Playing with the boys" bring back any memories? And, yes, he's from Miramar!) I also am sending him foot warmers, body warmers, hand warmers and a pair of work-out shorts. Plus, some chocolate kisses, mints and a candle for him to burn on Valentine's night while hopefully playing his i-pod where I downloaded 800 songs for him along with a special TOY (thinking of you) folder with 38 songs that have special meaning from me to him. I am just praying to hear from him that day. He will get bonus points if he doesn't forget Valentines day for me. (wink). I remember my first Valentine's with my ex. He wrote me a poem and left it in my car along with a Teddy Bear (we named him Roy) & a single red rose Valentine's morning. My sister got into a car accident that night so we didn't get to see each other, but I remember him calling after I got home that night and talking for hours on the phone. We always listened to the radio togethter when we talked on the phone. He had called the radio station earlier and had dedicated my favorite song to me and then told me he loved me for the first time. We haven't spoken in YEARS, but I will never forget that valentinte's day.

I absolutely hate valentine's day. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I never really get anything special. I mean yeah, I've gotten cards but just once I'd like a little thought and planning put into it. Like I did for Sweetest Day the first year me and my husband were together. He came over...I made dinner and set the bedroom up with candles EVERYWHERE. I put on some sexy lingerie, had him a key made for my house, and we spent all night in each others arms. *Sigh* We need something special this year dang it lol.

already gave me my Valentine present. Jyl you will love this..he got me a 2 year old dog from the Michigan Humane Society. We named him HEART and call him "Lovey".
