Detroit, MI –The WYCD Downtown Hoedown hits Hart Plaza this weekend with over 50 acts, 22 national recording arts and you can watch it LIVE on www.wycd.com. Mark your calendars for May 9th-11th at Detroit’s Hart Plaza. Over 1.5 Million expected in downtown Detroit this weekend and on line WYCD will be featuring exclusive interviews and music from over 20 National Recording Artists including, Gretchen Wilson, Little Big Town, Jewel, Lonestar, Ashton Shepherd, Billy Currington, Chris Cagle, Trisha Yearwood, Josh Gracin, Lady Antebellum, Charter’s Chord, Whiskey Falls, Jason Michael Carroll, Phil Stacey (former American Idol), Rissi Palmer, Roadhammers, Lee Brice, Sara Johns, Jypsy and more.

This year’s Downtown Hoedown will be produced by Wasserman Media Group’s WMG Events, a leading World Wide event producer. The Downtown Hoedown began in 1983 with Hank Williams, Jr., Tanya Tucker, The Kendalls, Brenda Lee and Mel Tillis. Since then, Hart Plaza has seen Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, the Dixie Chicks, Montgomery Gentry, Rascal Flatts, Gretchen Wilson, Big & Rich and more perform at the Hoedown.
