Few new country artists have ever come to the table with the combination of talent, passion and experience that is Rissi Palmer. The talent has been evident since she was a little girl, standing on a milk crate as she sang with teenagers and adults in her church choir. The experience is as impressive as it is wide-ranging: she was a finalist on the CBS-telecast Star Search, was featured in CMT's documentary Waiting In The Wings, along with Charley Pride and Trini Triggs, and on the network's Most Wanted Live, and has worked with producers including Brian McKnight and Deborah Allen.
Staking her future on the music she has loved since childhood, she has risen to the challenge spectacularly. Her talent and dedication have brought her to the forefront among country's hottest young talent. She has written with many of Nashville's finest writers, including Angela Kaset, James Dean Hicks and Shaye Smith, penned the song "Faith," which appeared in the 2004 Lee Daniels/Miramax film The Woodsman, and wrote "Hold On To Me," which Faith Hill chose for an album project but then agreed to release so Rissi could include it on her own debut.
