Is this a a ghost???

Do you think this is an “orb”?? there was another picutre taken right after this and the “orb” is gone. My daughter and I think it’s a ghost, but Doc and Grunwald say no. What do you think??

We’ve been talking on the air this morning about how rude Americans have become. According to a new study, 75% of Americans are becoming ruder and less-civilized! I can’t agree with this more! I try to live my life by the Golden Rule, and treat others the way I like to be treated. Maybe I’m to nice! What’s really sad is that we are gettings TONS of calls from listeners telling us stories of how rude people are!

How can anybody with half a heart kill an innocent pet?? I am so angered by the 19 year old IDIOT who robbed a house in Warren earlier this week and because the family’s 7 month old kitten was “bothering him”, took the time to take laundry out of the washing machine and put the kitten in there and start it up, killing the poor defenseless thing! I hope he gets locked up forever!!! If anybody did that to one of my cats, I would want to kill that person. This is when i wish we had the punichment policy of “an eye for an eye” in effect in our society!!!

Just to let you know how sweet a person Taylor Swift is . . and that she remains grounded after being as famous as she is. Each of us on the morning show received a personal card from Taylor congratulating us on our CMA nomination.  They were all handwritten by Taylor and personalized.  She is such a class act!  Especially after the way she handled herself with Kanye’s rude interruption at the MTV VMA Awards!!!

I’ve been seeing commercials this past week for this new product by Pledge, called the Pet Sweeper.  You hold it in your hand and move it across fabric furniture, clothing, etc. and it claims to pick up as much pet hair as a pet hair roller with 140 sheets on it.  Being an owner of 3 cats, 2 of which have long hair, I’m constantly using those rollers to pick up cat hair from our furniture and clothing.  But, I see so many commercials for new products that I get so excited about, then buy it and the product disappoints me!!!  Let me know if you’ve tried the Pledge pet Sweeper, and if it works, before I go buy it and risk wasting my money!!  Thanks!!

We now have our first confirmed death in the U.S. from the swine flu.  I know of two people who yesterday, went grocery shopping and stocked up on groceries, due to a fear of the swine flu, in case they become afraid to leave their house.  I think this is over-reacting.  Do you?

Am I the only parent who can’t wait for the kids to go back to school after Spring Break?  I worked all week while my daughter was on Spring Break.  The kids get so bored and it’s hard to keep them entertained without spending money everyday!  When I get home from work I just want to relax . . . but when my daughter’s on vacation, she can’t wait for me to get home so we can do something together.  Don’t get me wrong . . I love her more than anything in the world . . but it’s like the end of summer . . . when you can’t wait for the kids to go back to school.  What do you do to keep your kids entertained when they’re home all week without spending tons of money?  She did read 4 books . . which pleased me!

I  have to congratulate the Spartans Men’s basketball team for making it past the Final Four and into the Championship Game last night at Ford Field!    Although I did have a stomach ache watching the game when it became apparant we wouldn’t be catchnig up to North Carolina or have a chance of winning . . .but we all should be so proud of them!! 

My daughter, Rachael, is in 9th grade . . her first year of high school.  My  husband and I are so proud of her and her grades.  She just received a new report card in the mail over the weekend and she got three - A’s and one A+.  We were teasing her telling her she was grounded because she had told us she thought she was going to get two A’s and two A+’s. 

 Then she brought up the subject that alot of her friends’ parents pay them for getting good grades.  We don’t pay her.  We expect that from because we know what she is academically capable of. Do you think kids should be paid to get good grades  . . . or rewarded in some other way?  I guess if she tended to get lower grades, I would be more likely to reward her for getting A’s.  What do you think?

I am sickened by the tragic accident last evening that took the lives of four teens.   My heart and prayers go out to the families and friends of the victims .  . and anybody who was affected by this terrible car accident.  As a parent, I can’t imagine what it would be like to receive a call from police that your child, who had just run out to get pizza, was dead.  We must live our lives as if every time we see our loved ones, it could be the last . . . . . .
