Teenagers and Summer Break
June 17th, 2008 by rachael-hunter-wycdWe talked about this on the morning show today and I would love to hear your comments on the subject. My daughter is 14 years old and is out of school for the summer. She had a friend sleep over Sunday night and when I woke up to go to work at 4 a.m. Monday morning, they were still up.
Being an only child, she has friends sleep over quite often and I don’t mind if they stay up late like that. So long as she doesn’t have an obligation that day that she can’t get up for, and so long as she is respectful and lets us (her parents) sleep, it’s fine with me
Some listeners this morning felt the same way and let their teenagers stay up late. Another listener called and said the old adage . . . “Early To Bed and Early To Rise makes a Man Healthy. Wealthy and Wise.”
What are your thoughts? Do you let your teenagers stay up late during summer break or do they have a strict bedtime even during the summer?
