Toby Keith's "I Love This Bar & Grill" to open at Great Lakes Crossing!

“I Love This Bar & Grill” Coming to Auburn Hills!

Country star to play surprise gigs at restaurant that bears his name!

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., April 29, 2009 — Country comes to Great Lakes Crossing later this year, when Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill opens its doors for down-home food and live music like this area has never seen.

Named after the popular country singer’s hit single “I Love This Bar,” Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill promises to be a large and lively addition to Great Lakes Crossing. Occupying 22,000 square feet near Bass Pro Shops, the 650-seat restaurant and entertainment venue will feature live country music and dancing and the occasional surprise performance by Keith himself, along with cowboy hats, a mechanical bull, and drinks in mason jars from an 85-foot guitar-shaped bar. The home-cooked, southern-style fare includes the singer’s own favorites, such as pulled pork sandwiches, honky tonk meatloaf, freedom fries and his signature fried bologna sandwiches and southern-fried Twinkies, to name just a few. Appetizers, soups, salads and down-home desserts round out the generous lunch and dinner menu.

Of particular note on the menu is the American Soldier burger, inspired by Keith’s well-known patriotism and many USO concerts for the troops. Served up free of charge to active military personnel with valid military identification, the special is a nod to the men and women who courageously serve our country.

The Great Lakes Crossing location will be the sixth Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill in the country and the first in the Great Lakes states. It will also have an outdoor patio and a retail store and will employ 200 workers.

“We are so excited to welcome Toby Keith’s bar and restaurant to Great Lakes Crossing,” says Marketing Director, Melissa Morang. “Construction will begin soon and we can’t wait to open the doors later this year.”

Great Lakes Crossing, Michigan’s first indoor regional value-shopping center and entertainment venue, is located at I-75 and Baldwin Road in Auburn Hills. It features over 160 shops, restaurants and entertainment options, including manufacturer outlets, unique themed restaurants, a 1000-seat themed food court and a 25-screen, state-of-the-art theater megaplex–all situated in a single-level, easily accessible racetrack design.
