J3 In their own words -

Homegrown in…Orleans, MI...comprised of sisters (Jill and Janel) and best friends: Jill, Janel and Jenny.

Our sound is a unique contempoary Country/Christian, intertwined with three vocal harmonies. We each alternate lead and harmony vocals; and Jenny kicks it up a notch on guitar. We write our own music and also select wonderful music from a variety of extremely talented writers!

What we've done...what we're doing...

* Winners of the Inspirational Music Category of Ed McMahon's Next Big Star Competition (Star Search), performing original song, "Power to Believe", allowed us to cut our first self-produced CD Full Circle, featuring "Sweet Baby Born" (written by Jill and also featured on our Christmas project).

* Currently in the studio... our music projects incorporate traditional elements of country and bluegrass notes featuring J3 vocal harmonies, enticing melodies, and thought provoking lyrics. We strive to write and select music that tells a story, encourages others to join in, and empowers others to feel the simple joys of life.

Our current projects include, J3 country project "Good for Us," Christian project, "More Than Meets the Eye!," and Christmas project "He's Christmas."

About the Songs and our Country Project…When we began the song selection for this project we couldn’t help but feel the blessings we've been given – together collectively. We are blessed to have true friendship and genuine love of family & friends! As kids we attended PIPER, a one-room country schoolhouse in Orleans, MI – one of a rare few that remained at the time – this is where our "country roots" stem from and where our friendship began! Jill, Janel & Jenny – we're J3 – country school & Sunday school gal pals – girl scouts – sisters – high school best friends – bridesmaids – you name it, we’ve been there – together – through the good and bad, thick & thin – we’ve make it through together helping each other through heartbreaks, challenges, letting go, growing up, moving on, knowing forgiveness and finding comfort in God! The Rosebud Records Project, Best of Friends album, gives you a peek at our friendship and our struggles. It captures the “feeling and spirit of J3,? a collage of memories and moments. It’s what makes us, J3!

* We are gearing up to release our  Best of Friends CD. We are really excited about it and hope that you are too! We will get the details and the release date out to you as soon as we have it. We are SO VERY GREATFUL for Vera, Fate (Rosebud Records and Productions) and for Gene Golden. THANK YOU SO MUCH EACH OF YOU for taking us in and for your gracious help, sacrifice and belief in us! God bless you!!!

We genuinely feel our main calling in life is to love others, be a friend in times of good and in need, and share our stories and faith with others. We love to laugh and meet new friends! And we LOVE music - it is truly one bond that unites us all together and ignites the spirit!

God bless! :)

Love, Jill, Janel & Jenny ~ J3 ~:)

A Proud Father's Memories on Memorial Day
"As I sit here in my living room, surrounded by memories of times past, I see photographs of happier times. I see Justin’s Senior Picture…taken in my dark blue suit and tie, (The tie that I had to tie and that he complained about.) “It’s not me” he said putting it on.  .  .. Those people that we speak about during ceremonies, parades and speeches, are real people, not distant heroes, Our Heroes. They have real families. They deserve this day. Please honor them for their sacrifices, because at my house… everyday is Memorial Day."  Please feel free to share your thoughts inside, on this, and what Memorial Day means to you.
