Young Female National Country Recording Artist and BMI Songwriter Justine Blazer is becoming one of Detroit’s most recognized names. Justine has recently received three nominations for the 2007 Detroit Music Awards for Outstanding Vocalist, Outstanding Songwriter and Outstanding Artist in the country category. She always knew she would be in the spotlight and in her prime, she has sang for the NFL, NHRA, NBA, MLB, Madison Square Garden, Detroit Music Hall, opened for national acts such as Lonestar, Lee Roy Parnell, Thousand Foot Krutch, headlined at the famous St. Andrew's Hall in Detroit, Emerald Theater, was featured on the nationally syndicated radio program The Mitch Albom Show and seen on ABC, ESPN, ESPN 2 and FOX networks.
Entertaining has always been her passion. Born and raised in Detroit, MI she has always been involved in singing, dancing, songwriting and entertaining.
Starting dance lessons at age 3, voice lessons at age 5, wrote her first song at age 8, learned piano theory at age 10, and then she recorded her first country EP at age 13 that was submitted to Nashville that created a lot of buzz. When Justine was a child, she was known as the “little kid with the big voice.? She got her start by competing in endless competitions, fairs, contests, festivals, showcases, musicals, talent shows and much more that gave her so much experience that lead her to where she is today. Her beautiful and powerful singing parallels her talented songwriting abilities. This natural beauty is not only a vocalist but also she plays the keyboard, piano and the acoustic guitar.
Singing many genres of music including blues, opera, country, standards, acoustic, R&B, and gospel, she enjoys the freedom to express herself in many ways. Justine is able to diversify her musical talent. She’s recorded several albums, demos and EP's in numerous genres but enjoys country the most. Justine is constantly re-inventing herself, giving exactly what her fans want. Justine Blazer truly is a voice of all traits and a premier entertainer.
As a member of BMI, the Academy of Popular Music/Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the owner of her own company (La Blaze Entertainment), record label (La Blaze Records) and publishing company (La Blaze Music Publishing - BMI), Justine Blazer has a great business sense as well. Justine's music is on regular rotation on DMX Satellite Radio, Sirius Radio and many other radio stations in the United States, Australia, Europe and Japan. Just recently, she was personally scouted out and discovered by MTV for a non-exclusive licensing deal to have her music on URGE, a new digital music service from MTV Networks.
Justine Blazer released her full debut pop/rock album entitled Passion in Me on 7/28/05 on Tower Records, CDBaby and iTunes, which includes her popular single of Nancy Sinatra’s all time hit “These Boots are Made for Walking?. Other previous releases includes her debut single "Raining in the City" and her Holiday Album Just A Justine Christmas which both had great success. She is currently in the studio completing her country album, Another Journey, which is expected to release in Spring/Summer 2007.
The "Star Spangled Banner" is a very common song for Justine Blazer. She has performed the National Anthem for countless sporting events for the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHRA, OHL, among other minor league organizations. Justine has sang for teams like the Detroit Pistons, Detroit Tigers, Indianapolis Colts, Atlanta Falcons, Indiana Pacers, Green Bay Packers, Buffalo Bills, Plymouth Whalers, Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns, DC Nationals, the New Jersey Nets, Cleveland Cavaliers, the NHRA Fall nationals and many other sporting events. Most of these games and events were aired on major stations such as ESPN, ESPN 2, FOX and ABC.
She has also starred in many commercials, radio jingles and media. Justine Blazer starred in a Jimmy Kimmel Live! Commercial filmed in Hollywood, CA. Justine then headed back east and sang at the infamous Madison Square Garden for the New York Independent Film and Music Festival. Justine then landed the March cover of Go Detroit Magazine and was featured in Six Degrees Magazine in July along with numerous local and national newspaper write-ups and reviews. Her song "Rush"(Remix) is currently in a motion picture entitled Drop Box in Hollywood, CA.
Justine's musical genre is very unique because it’s country but mixed with Motown roots. Some of Justine's major influences are Joss Stone, Sheryl Crow, Faith Hill, Martina McBride and Shania Twain. “I'd like to describe my music as it has an eclectic sound to it.? Justine’s music has been put in the hands of record labels like Geffen, Columbia Records, Hollywood, Motown, Maverick, DreamWorks and Interscope. Whatever she pursues, she puts her whole heart and soul into it. “I just live one day at a time do what my heart tells me. Music is my passion and all I can be is me!?
