Sarah Lenore is a multi-talented 18-year old singer, songwriter and entertainer. Performing since the age of five, she appeared in eighty performances of the Broadway musical Showboat at age eight alongside the shows star Tom Bosley. Since then, she has appeared in more than twenty-five musical plays. In 2003, Sarah traveled to New York City where she performed for a second time at Carnegie Hall. When in New York Sarah attended the Caroline Rhea Show and was asked by the shows producer to perform as the musical guest the next day on the nationally televised show. She performed live with Chris Botti and the studio band, receiving numerous accolades.
In September 2002, she was a featured performer at Impact at Ford Field, the City of Detroit's largest fundraiser to raise money for a single charity Childrens Hospital of Michigan. Sarah was selected from a group of more than 300 metro Detroit singers to perform along-side Gladys Knight, Deborah Gibson, and Dale Kristien. In addition, she bested 400 other singers to perform at the 2003 Detroit Fireworks Celebration that was televised live on Detroits NBC affiliate, WDIV.
Sarah has performed the National Anthem at several high profile events, including the pre-season home opener for the Detroit Lions at Ford Field, the NASCAR Fan Appreciation Day at Comerica Park, and at an invitation only reception for Vice President Dick Chaney at Laurel Manor. Sarah has also been featured on The Mitch Albom Show, WJR Radio, WMJC Morning show and the WXYZ Morning show on Detroits ABC affiliate. Comcast Cablevision recently produced a program featuring interviews and performances by Sarah that was aired on the local cable channel.
As Sarah continues her growth as an artist she observes, I grew up listening to Martina, she is one of my sources of inspiration. When I hear one of her songs, it draws me in until she sings her last note. I hope one day someone might think of me that way. With her youthful exuberance and her love of performing, Sarah is well on her way to accomplish that goal.
