Tune in to Steve Grunwald on 99.5 WYCD weekdays from 5 to 10 a.m. on The Dr. Don Morning Show, and Saturday's from 9 to 11 a.m. for the Motor City's Most Wanted Top 20 Countdown!
Steven Grunwald is the Executive producer and Co-host of the Dr. Don Show. His personal relationship with country stars is vast. Luke Bryan, Darius Rucker and Little Big Town are just some of the many who seek out Grunwald whenever they come to or through Detroit. When he’s not on the air, he’s catching up with Deirks Bentley, Eric Church, Whiskey Falls or the American Express Customer Service Department (it’s a long story).
Grunwald is the “single” guy on the show. The women in the 99.5 WYCD audience feel a special connection to him as most of them have probably dated him. He’s also country radio’s most fashion-conscious personality. And he probably has the best-moisturized skin in country radio (another long story)
Grunwald has worked with some of radio’s most notable personalities, including Steve Cochran and Partridge Family star Danny Bonaduce. He’s friends with a lot of big names, too, including former Vice President Walter Mondale, Master Chef Wolfgang Puck and TV talk show host, Jerry Springer (yet another long story.)
A lot of people benefit from Grunwald’s charity work, too. He created and organized a giant toy drive, last Christmas, in cooperation with Detroit Lions Wide Receiver, Mike Furrey. The Furrey Foundation was able to deliver toys to thousands of underprivileged kids at local hospitals and area schools.
Grunwald volunteers at the University of Michigan Hospital and at Motts Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He participated in the Relay for Life in his hometown of Wixom, Michigan and in nearby Canton. Along with Dr. Don, he hosted the annual Harley Davidson “Black and Blue Ball” for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
He also has the cleanest garage floor in the United States. And, yes, that’s another long story. Check out Steve's "Crib" in the video below!
