Our goal is to have him receive as many cards and letters of encouragement as we can! He is 28 years old. He had his leg amputated last week but has been in the hospital since December. As of yesterday he was still on a ventilator. They are hoping to wean him off any day now. The family is having a bowling fundraiser next month to raise money to do some remodeling. (More details to come on that!) He's been in a wheelchair for his whole life, but with the loss of his leg they need to make the bathroom and bedroom easily accessible. Kris Draper of the Detroit Red Wings showed up at a Rodney Atkins concert fundraiser for Rebels for a Cause to aid children with cancer, and donated a signed Jersey with all of the Detroit Red Wings.
