NAME CITY, STATE COMMENT EMAIL (OPTIONAL)

Faith Ann Arbor, MI
Paula Horton Fenton, MI

Kathy Riharb White, MI GM needs to keep the jobs here in Michigan. Orion Assembly produces the best in class vehicles and open the doors to other opportunities in the area.
Elizabeth Wright Auburn Hills, MI
Sherri Morris Riley Twp, MI I think we need to get people who have lost their jobs in Micigan back to work--14.9% unemployment, which most is related to the auto industry.
Monica Hooper Rochester Hills, MI We need to keep the Lake Orion Plant working to give Oakland county and its residence a chance to recover from these massive lay offs. We need to keep Michigan working.
Amy Clark Leonard, MI
Michael Sylva, NC by way of Ypsilanti, MI Please assist Michigan with their unemployment issues.  Not only will this spark employment opportunities, but Michigan is where the car was born so please do not let it leave it's home.  m_scully@live.com
Renee Meeker Livonia, MI
Lisa McWhinnie Waterford, MI GM has been our survival for the past 100 years.  Let's keep the cars coming from Michigan workers and their families.
Mary Orosz Algonac, MI  Keep the auto industry where it started. Thousands of people here, including my family members lost jobs due to the shut down.
April Sowers Lake Orion, MI This plant staying in Orion is the differnce between my husband and I staying in MI and contributing to it's economy and leaving the state, taking our money with us.
Tara Van Dyk Flat Rock, MI I feel that w/the financial difficulties that have hit the Big 3 and the bankruptcies that it is the duty and obligation to commit to a new plant in MI. As Michigan's survival depends on it.
John Fracassa We have to stop the bleeding of automotive jobs to other states and countries.  Tax breaks, incentives, whatever it takes to lure and keep business here.
Mark Sowers Lake Orion, MI  I've worked for GM for 25 years.  If we lose this plant I will be forced to move my wife out of state, and away from her family.  I'm not from here.  It will be easy for me to take my money to another state, further contributing to the crippling blow that the MI economy is facing.  It is the worst here.  LOOK AT THE UNEMPLOYMENT HERE...and you want to take more jobs away???  The government better be ready for even more aid for the unemployed in MI.

Jennifer Lillibridge  Taylor, MI  This is something that Michigan needs to help get us back on the map.  We have a lot of family and friends so dedicated to GM that it would be a shame to see this plant go elsewhere.
Doug Warren  Oxford, MI  You need the new gm car here in lake orion  so that its made  like gm likes their cars to be made. I mean why make it anywhere but in lake orion it just is right any where but here. t9a6z@aol.com
Kelly Ostrosky  Livonia, MI  Where do we put this plant... seriously? People are baffled by this, people are actually considering NOT keeping this plant in MI?  I cannot believe I have to sign a petition in the first place. Who, in their right mind, would oppose this?  Everyone knows how the auto workers have been affected... what about the local businesses closing because auto employees don't stop for coffee on their way to work? What about city employees (policemen/women, firefighters...) that are let go when a plant closes? If anyone reading this disagrees, come to MI. Find a job, get a loan, pay for college. If you do, then I'll be amazed.
Angela Doelker  Dearborn, MI
Philip Denys  Sterling Heights, MI  We need jobs to come to Michigan. Everyone is leaving this state to find work so why not give back to the millions of people out of work here in Michigan. Give something back to the little guys that work so hard to make GM the biggest auto maker in the world. Cracing02@yahoo.com
  Scott Brill  Bloomfield Hills, MI
Jane Wasilewski  Brighton, MI  Michigan has been the Auto capital of the world and it should stay. Michigan economy depends and need  this plant and so do the people of this state.
Kim DeLisa  Royal Oak, MI  I think GM should “Make It In MI“  We are the “Town That Put the World on Wheels“ and we can still do it better than anyone.
Cynthia Davis Temperance, MI  My mom and dozens of her friends and relatives worked for GM for 30 years they were dedicated employees. With GM's current restructuring she and other friends and family members have lost important benefits.  Benefits that will need to be supplemented by  family, community and other resources. These huge losses will effect the quality of Michigan lives. It's only logical that GM establishes businesses here in Michigan to allow “us“ taxpayers to take care of “our“ GM retirees who gave to GM and Michigan their entire lives. We all deserve to live in dignity through out our lives!! Establishing facilities here make great business sense and is compassionate to those families who suffer at the hands of GM's restructuring efforts!

Robert Hull  Canton, MI  I served in the army for three years, from 1963-1966 and was prould to do so . But it seems that our goverment does not care about the common person that only wants to feed their kids, just how much more profits the big company can make.

Mark Lazar  Howell, MI  Metro Detroit has the skill and the desire to build a quality vehicle.  GM Engineering is here in Metro Detroit, as well as the engineering of most of GM's suppliers.  uilding this plant else where would only cost more engineering dollars to produce a quality vehicle.
Jewell A. Napper  Warren, MI  I have had many family members affected by this lay-off and I encourage the use of this plant instead of spending and wasting tax dollars to build a different plant somewhere else.  Isn't it time we keep jobs, our graduating students who have to go to other states to earn a living, and give the men and women of Michigan back their belief in this state?????
